Lets Get Personal: A Look Into My Journal

April 26, 2010

Isaiah 55:1
Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

God invites everyone to satisfy their thirst. Our thirst being the deep spiritual longing for God and the drink being God's mercy, grace and salvation. It is free for all to drink, though it was very costly to purchase, far to costly for us to afford; thankfully Jesus paid in full on our behalf! All we need to do is come. We must come to the place where the drink is poured out, the feet of our Lord. He bids us come there, recognize His provision and drink constantly and deeply of His mercy, grace and salvation. To try and purchase or even earn this drink is an insult to the giver, for we never could afford it nor do we need to. We need just to come and accept the only drink that satisfies, Christ Jesus our Lord.
